Sparks is set to ignite Broadway’s In the Heights
At 17, Jordin Sparks became the youngest winner ever of American Idol. Following her win, she went on to debut hits like “No Air,” “One Step at a Time” and “Tattoo.” Then there was the Grammy Award nomination. So now, is it any wonder that Jordin Sparks tickets are available on Broadway?
From now through Nov. 14, Jordin Sparks will be on Broadway for the 2008 Tony-award winning musical In the Heights. Sparks will be playing Nina, a central character in the musical.
Ironically, she’s not the first American Idol winner to appear onstage, as Fantasia Barrino took the role of Celie in 2007‘s The Color Purple and Clay Aiken joined the cast of Monty Python’s Spamalot in 2008.
